Mechanical men lay piled to the ceiling, and they jostled and rolled as the train clattered along.

Passepartout's journal

The Viennese Military Transport is a train that travels from Vienna to Istanbul via Belgrade. It is transporting mechanical soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and is the only method of travelling to Belgrade in the game. The journey costs no money but may require bribing a guard at the station to the tune of £200.

Events[edit | edit source]

Passepartout learns of the Military Transport's route after staying overnight in Vienna and can suggest it to Fogg. The route night is either overheard from a group of soldiers if Passepartout retires to a bar or after being chastised by a soldier for wrecking havoc with Herr Danzer's Zauberflote.

The journey to Belgrade is mostly uneventful given that Passepartout and Fogg are the only human passengers aboard. On the way from Belgrade to Istanbul, Passepartout can steal an automaton's control shard to later present to the Sisters of Didacus.
