Urga (modern-day Ulaanbaatar) is a location in 80 Days. It is the capital city of Mongolia.

Urga is the site of a revolutionary Garuda aircraft design by Mongolian engineers. Passepartout can get directions to it by asking a monk. However, the monks of Urga come in two varieties; the monks who wear red are relaxed and will gladly offer up the information, whilst the monks who wear yellow are so devout that they have taken a vow of silence.
Urga will be of added significance if Passepartout has previously met Goland aboard the Trans-Siberian Express. Pursuing a romantic interest, Passepartout follows her to Urga and makes his way to the Zuun Khuree temple complex to find her. She refuses to speak with him, however she does pass on information on where to find the experimental Garuda.
