Mystery Device is a trading item in 80 Days. An odd rectangular device blinking with green and yellow lights that Passepartout can pocket while in a disturbance in Calgary or Regina. The description says that it can be sold in Toronto but there probably isn't a route that will allow you to do this without entering the Kahwoka Othunwe adventure.
Should you still have it returning to the Reform Club, it is one of the items that the club butler will put over the bar (if he doesn't like one of your other possessions better).
