The Kamer-Taj is a train route through the Persian Empire in the Middle-East. It travels east-west from Istanbul to Tehran to Herat to Kabul.

The train is large and comfortable, powered by a new type of Persian Engine. It is named after the mythical "moon horse" Kamer-Taj, that could transport those who held onto its mane anywhere in the world. The front of the train features a large metal statue of rearing black horse.

Whilst traveling aboard the train, an Armenian man named Abadjian takes pity on Passepartout's fashion sense and gives him a Pashmina Scarf to spruce up his ensemble.
