Passepartout's journal is an item in 80 Days which takes up no space, nor can it be traded or sold. The player reads the journal, then selects an option (written in blue text) to continue the journal. If there are two or more choices, any choice may be used to continue. With different choices, new characters, scenarios, routes, and more can be unlocked. If there is one choice, you must select the choice to continue.
The journal also can document (in yellow) the relationship between Passepartout and Fogg, and also describe the character of Passepartout. However, the journal cannot document relations with other passengers. The journal entry ends once two grey arrows are shown. Click it and the entry disappears.
The journal can also cause different endings. If you seperate with Fogg and persue other things (this doesn't activate in the Moon scenario, as you are still trying to complete the journey around the world), the game ends as Passepartout can no longer make entries travelling around the world. Also, if Fogg dies, the journal is dropped and the game ends.
