|“||My papa says it's very dangerous... he says the Emperor is spoiling for war.||”|
Isobel Poitier is a character in 80 Days. She is a traveller aboard the Orient Express with her unnamed companion.
Role[edit | edit source]
Passepartout can meet her and her friend in the dining cart of the Orient Express, either sitting with them or eavesdropping on them alone or with Henri de Blowitz. They begin to discuss the potential Austro-Hungarian war preparations and rising tensions with the Ottomans, which they all find worrying.
Passepartout may stay with the pair for a while longer, but the conversation gradually changes to one concerning hats, so he takes his leave.
