A man in the hotel recommends a restaurant named Klemens to Phileas Fogg and Passepartout, a suggestion that Fogg accepts eagerly. The tureen they are served there explodes, splattering all over them and covering the wall with an image of a copper lily, the symbol of the Artificers' Guild. Upon further examination, it becomes apparant that a small automaton in the shape of a Scarab was placed in the soup, the source of the explosion. They can keep it and sell it for great profit in Antalya, but are shaken up by the incident.
