Banks are part of the gameplay of 80 Days. This is where Pounds are acquired at the cost of waiting. The amount of money offered depends on the size of the bank.

Some cities don't have banks, or have banks that won't serve Phileas Fogg. If, at the same time, there is no route that is affordable (or if there are no routes found), he and Passepartout will beg, which takes 8 hours and earns none-£400 each time (usually about £50).
