|“||There is a war coming. We are sure of it.||”|
Arne Garborg is a character in 80 Days. He is a Norwegian poet.
Background[edit | edit source]
Garborg is visiting Kristiania from the Norwegian countryside. He already knows that it has moved underground and accepts the citizens' reasoning for it.
Role[edit | edit source]
Passepartout may encounter Garborg in Kristiania if he manages to discover the main city underground. If he chooses to find out more about the odd residence rather than ignoring the matter, he can hold a conversation with Garborg, who explains the threat of war and the need for Kristianians to protect themselves. He also explains that food can still be grown without light, but will express irritation if Passepartout brings up the shortcomings of the plan, like the fact that many of those living underground will never see the sun again.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Garborg is based on a real life figure of the same name, a Norwegian writer.
