The Amaruq is a Canadian hot-air balloon that goes from Quebec City to Reykjavik.
The Amaruq is crewed by a family of Inuit boys who take turns as captain. When Phileas Fogg and Passepartout book passage the captain is the oldest boy, Natar Oonark, and the role of navigator has fallen to the youngest, Olayuk. Though initially concerned by the age of their navigator, Passepartout is told by Olayuk himself that he is in good hands. True to his word, the balloon arrives in Iceland on time and without incident.
