Reconnecting with the Black Rose

I met the Black Rose somewhere in Africa (maybe between Wadi Halfi and Khartoum). I accepted the quest to meet up with her again somewhere. She indicated that I would know how to find her. The quest description in this Wiki says that you will learn that she is in Buenos Aires by "reading a newspaper in the Americas." I didn't make it to North America on this trip, but I kept reading the paper in Panama and South America, and never received her signal. (Also, the route I took in South America didn't lead to Buenos Aires.) I never heard from her again.

Where do you read that she is in Buenos Aires?

That's unfortunate.

You probably did everything well - keep reading the papers during your journeys and go as close to Buenos Aires as possible in case you get the news which also unlocks a route to the city, I think.

It could be that you don't even need to cross the Pacific before you get the info in the newspaper, keep reading it from earlier on. (Preferably right after your last contact with her.)

It's still not clear exactly what triggers the Black Rose adventure and its events - there could well be some random element in there somewhere - so there's no clear-cut answer for your problem.
