I've discovered that Estelle (whom you meet aboard the Blue Line Ferry from Nice or Rome to Tunis) can now join your travels. As you depart the ship, she says she'll leave you at Luxor or Bombay. I've been unable to keep her with the group at either of the two options from Tunis--Luxor or Beirut; however, she will give you money as reimbursement for her expenses on the way to Beirut. After she leaves, you'll find a cigarette case in your luggage as a parting gift. I'm thinking Beirut might be the correct path, though she leaves me as soon as I arrive, even when I manage to get tea service aboard the Ottoman airship...

As the ship departs, watch the golden carriage/unusual group of people board the ship. When Fogg complains about the service, explore the VIP cabin area and go straight to the front cabin, where a guard will stop you. Interrogate the guard and discover that the dignitary's wife and family are aboard. Later, go to the ship's rail and speak with the woman, Lalla, and bring up the fact that she's staying in one of the VIP cabins, after which you'll be able to vent about the service to her, resulting in deluxe tea service.

She will find you along your journey. Just go with the flow. Usually when you sleep in the hotel in other cities.
